Encourage Businesses and Industries to Locate in Jefferson County
This directive is accomplished on an
ongoing basis as contact is made for information on the county and
area business and programs available for businesses to locate
here. JCEDC provides information to such agencies as the
Department of Commerce, which fields many requests from companies
wishing to locate here in Wisconsin and possibly Jefferson County.
JCEDC maintains a Site and Buildings Database for participating communities. The database includes site
information, zoning data, TIF information and other related site
information. In addition, JCEDC has information available on
various existing building and industrial and business park information.
JCEDC assists applicants in their receipt
of grants and aids from private, State and Federal sources. This includes providing
information about Jefferson County on a variety of
topics. JCEDC sponsored a federal grant workshop earlier this year
in which over eighty-five people attended.
