What's Available?
Purchasing a home may be the greatest investment you will ever
make! The home buying process involves many considerations and
challenges that we can assist you with.
The hbc services, inc. HCRIH "Home Sweet Home" Program provides
a 0% deferred downpayment assistance loan towards the purchase of a home in Jefferson
County. The funding can be used to pay for part of your down
payment, all customary closing costs, prepaid items, reserves and
home buyer counseling.
Eligibility
- You have to be a first-time home buyer.
- You must obtain a first mortgage from a participating
lender.
- The home must be located in Jefferson County.
- Total household income cannot exceed 80% of the county
median income, adjusted for household size. There are no asset
limits.
- Pre-purchase counseling, is required.
- Purchase a single-family home or condominium and owner
occupant.
- The maximum purchase price is $200,160.0 for a 1-family
structure.
- The property must meet certain housing quality standards.
- You cannot receive cash back from the closing.
